This blog will take you along the different steps of building a 23 foot dropkeel sailboat. The DIDI 23 is one of the available designs for the amateur builder designed by Dudley Dix. The boat is built as a radius chine trailer sailer from plywood with bulb dropkeel.

First Radius Segment Planked
Yesterday was the first day with temperatures near 15°C since mid October 2013. So I was able to continue working in my greenhouse shipyard. I planked the first radius segment. It was hard work to bend the ply over the stringers. More screws than expected were required to fix it. Today I could remove all the screws.
Working time been invested: 900 hours
